Let's mix things up a bit today. Spring has come and we here at ANACOM are taking the month to take stock and invest in developing our skills. So this brings up a question. Why do we try to improve our skills?
For myself, the more I understand something, the better I feel about sharing what I know or can do. I like to think of myself someone who is creative, but I don't often show what I create, for I often doubt it's worth. And any commentary on hope that accompanies it, is never seen.
The same goes for my speaking Japanese. Though I've been here in Japan for a number of years now, I still don't speak Japanese fluently, and as a result I've had a hard time speaking or even connecting with the Japanese people I interact with. So I started to take Japanese lessons. Doing so has not only helped me, but it has given me hope. As a result, I've been more proactive to speak with individuals I meet.
As a Christian, the time I spend reading and studying through the Bible not only gives me hope for the future, but I am able to share this same hope I've discovered with others through my creative designs and my ability to communicate with others.
In the end, I am looking forward to this coming month, and the opportunity to develop some of my skills and being able to share them with you. And I hope that leads to you finding true hope.
