8 WEEK Visual Development PRACTICUM
February 21 ~ April 18  2025
September 26 ~ November 28  2025

Two times a year, a small group of 3-6 motivated students will gather together to develop digital skills, and visualize various components of an animated series.

Who Can Participate?

Any visual artist interested in growing their digital skills, pursuing the tasks of story development, and building their relationship with God. This course will especially benefit artists who have basic skill sets and but desire to grow through real world projects.

 

(DTS with YWAM is recommended but not required.)

What are the requirements?

  • Each student must provide their own iPad (with Apple Pencil) and use the ProCreate and ProCreate Dreams apps. (iPad Pro's are recommended to handle larger file sizes.)

  • Each week will have at least 1 lecture and demonstration.

  • Each lecture will end with an assignment.

  • Each day will be evaluated for progress

  • Additional training will be available but optional.

Each artist will be producing sketches, storyboards, and paintings, roughly 4-6 hours per day.

Up to 30 hours per week

How much does it cost?

  • Costs for housing and 8 week course will run: ¥380,000 / *approx.: $2,400-2,500

  • Students are required to cover all other travel costs: like plane tickets (flying in and out of Japan. (Haneda airport is recommended, although Narita is adequate.)

  • $250 for other potential travel expenses and train fare is recommended.

  • Students will supply their own food: $400-600.(2-3 meals a week are community meals.)
